A day at the park

I love going to the park so much. The best part is the slide. I am so courageous that I can run to the ladder, try to climb up alone but then I dive head first down the slide. Over and over again. I prefer the big kid slides because they are higher and faster and more dangerous. I cant wait to go back!

Some funny things about me

I'm very behind in my blogging. Since my last post I've been to Minneapolis to visit Gramma and Auntie Julia and Paul and Grandpa. When those photos are uploaded, I'll do a post dedicated just to that trip. And, I had a special shopping day with Nana and Bompa. Nana bought me my first pair of real shoes. And, they are really really cool. I'll post photos of these too.

In the meantime:

I had my 15 month appointment and I grew!! I am 33" tall (90%) 24.10 lbs (60%). I had 2 shots and an ear infection my mama and daddy didn't know about! Dr Zorn says I am perfectly healthy with a big vocabulary.

Some fun things about me:

- I have mastered walking and now running
- I like to call everything "daddy". Daddy is the best thing in my life so everything else I love, I've decided to call "daddy" too
- I have some new words, when I chose to use them: mine, no, move, light, Charlie, ball, money, mama
- My favorite foods are pears, freeze dried blueberries, ketchup
- I like to follow mama around the house and copy what she is doing. I pretend to clean and cook and feed Charlie
- Tonya is my babysitter. She's the preschool teacher at school too and I love being with her. But I also get in trouble at school. Because in my last report card, they wrote this:

Needs Improvement: Breck gets so mad when Tonya leaves the room that he sometimes hits his friends.

My new cousin!

Last night marks the arrival of my new cousin- Samuel! He is 6 weeks old and I am certain we'll be best friends. I will teach him everything he needs to know-- like snapping and throwing things and yelling and waving and crawling and climbing. Because I'm the big cousin!

I can't wait to meet you Samuel!

Up and away!

It's official- I'm walking!! I've been practicing for quite some time now but now up and around on my own! I like to lift my feet high off the ground like I am marching. Now, I am practicing my run so I can get back to being really fast.

Other fun stuff:
- I like to crawl up and sit on Mama's lap
- I love to say "Daddy" all the time
- I am eating with my fork
- I am practicing climbing out of my crib
- I like to give kissies
- I imitate what other people are doing
- I call Charlie by his name
- I point at things
- I can snap my fingers!

My first snow storm

Last Wednesday morning everyone started talking about snow. My mama took me to school and we did our normal routine, singing most of the way and I clap when she's done! But to our surprise school was closed. The sign read "closed due to snow" But not a flake was to be seen. So mama took me to work and I got to go to a few meetings. Then daddy took me home and played with me. When I went to bed that night, still not a flake in the air. But when I woke up the next morning, our whole neighborhood was buried in snow!! This is me in my new coat sitting in the backyard. I wasnt really sure what to do in the snow. After these photos I cried. A little too unpredictable and very cold! We all took Charlie for a long walk. And now its 4 days later and its still snowing!! We have almost 12 inches of snow at our house. Charlie loves it. He chases snowballs. I wish I had a sled because now its too deep for my stroller. But we'll go out and play in it tomorrow. Its going to be a white Christmas! My mama says that we havent had snow like this here since she was little and it might be a long time before it happens again. So I'm gonna play lots in the snow and mama will take lots of pictures! Today I stayed inside to be warm and got to open an early present. Its a zebra that I can ride and bounce on. And I love my new Ugs from Gramma. I wear them all day long in the house!

Seeing Santa

Apparently I've met Santa before but I can't remember. Nothing fun about this guy. He's big and red and my parents think they can just leave me there on his lap. I got all dolled up for this?

The Day I Met Santa

On Monday, my mama is taking me to see Santa again. I dont know much about him but my parents played me this video of when I met him for the first time. He was big and snuggly. This year I might cry because he is kinda strange looking. Or, I might pull on his beard or try climbing over his shoulder. I'll post my Santa photo next week. In the meantime, check this out!
